ABOUT

A series of break-ins at his father’s office inspired Dick Gill, an electronics expert, to design a system that would deter future occurrences. As a result of this success he went on to open his own company in April of 1983 at his home in College Lakes, his only employee was his mother who kept the books. In 1990 the business moved to it current location at 818 Ramsey, this building has seen several expansions. Today Gill Security has 30 employees including 8 full time sales consultants with one located in Lumberton; and 17 trained technicians.

We are a multi-million dollar business that offers burglary and fire alarm systems, camera and video surveillance systems and intercom systems. Our commercial customers include federal, county and local government buildings, health care facilities, large and small local businesses, grocery stores, fast food chains and restaurants. We have residential customers in a 10-county region: Cumberland, Moore, Harnett, Bladen, Robeson, Wake, Sampson, Johnson, Onslow and Hoke.

Our mission is to “protect what you can’t replace.” Whether it is protecting a family, a home or a business our goal is to make sure we use high quality and reliable equipment; we put a commitment on training and technology for all employees and we keep our prices competitive and affordable. Customer Service has the highest priority. Our company has continued to grow and the number one source of that growth is customer referrals. Satisfied customers spread the word about our commitment to service and affordability. We frequently interact with local law officers to provide security and safety tips to neighborhood home owner associations.

We are locally owned and operated. A real person answers the phone 24/7 – we try to schedule same day/next day service and are recognized by our commitment to customer service. We are constantly updating our equipment and training employees to be able to offer the latest in technology. Gill Security is proud of the numerous awards they have won over the years in the alarm industry.

Technology continues to evolve and in the future you will see home security systems being used as home control systems. The ability is there to control lights, heating, air, video surveillance, arm and disarm security and locks remotely. Using a smart phone or computer you can control what is happening at your house or business from wherever you are.
